One of the few musicians who could give you legal advice, Umang Mehta is a singer, guitarist and songwriter based in Mumbai, India.
After nearly a decade of paying his dues at some of the City’s top law firms, Umang kept his word and returned to playing music. “It took me a while, but there were bills to pay….. and guitars aren’t cheap!”, he says.
Having grown up in a house that had more jazz records than could be counted, Umang rebelled by listening to just about everything else. Infusing his eclectic taste of blues, folk, and pop into his music, Umang writes simple songs about the otherwise complex.
When he isn’t performing, Umang keeps himself busy by honing his skills, completing half-written songs, and avoiding calls from law firms.
